— Case Study: Relaunch Corporate Website Sky Group
Leadership for International Transformation.

As part of the merger of Sky Deutschland, Sky Italia, and Sky UK & Ireland into the Sky Group, a new corporate website was launched to create a unified platform for corporate communications across all markets. Alongside my role as Corporate Spokesperson, I took on project leadership for Germany during the development and rollout of the new website.

Through transparent communication, pragmatic project management and close stakeholder alignment, I successfully delivered the German rollout and helped ensure a smooth adoption across the organisation.

— CURRENT SITUATION & CHALLENGE
Managing the Complexity of International Transformation.

The merger that created the Sky Group brought together previously independent corporate communications platforms across multiple countries. Separate websites, differing technologies, inconsistent brand identities and varying regulatory requirements made the launch of a new international corporate website a strategic necessity. The objective was to establish a unified digital platform and communication framework across the Sky Group.

– Stabilise a transformation programme facing organisational and regulatory challenges

– Establish effective project governance and delivery structures for the German market

– Align international requirements with local regulatory and compliance obligations

– Establish effective decision-making and communication structures across international stakeholders

— STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES
Managing Complexity Through Transparency and Pragmatism.

The objective was to stabilise a project that had become organisationally and regulatorily challenged and to develop a realistic rollout plan for the German market. The focus was on managing complex stakeholder structures, coordinating activities across Germany, the UK and international project teams, and ensuring compliance with local regulatory requirements throughout the rollout.

– Stabilise a transformation programme facing organisational and regulatory challenges

– Develop robust project governance and delivery structures for the German market

– Align international requirements with local regulatory and compliance obligations

– Establish effective decision-making and communication structures across international stakeholders

— STRATEGY & ACTIONS
What I specifically did.

After taking over project leadership for Germany, the focus was on stabilising an increasingly complex project environment and translating local requirements into the international rollout framework. Governance issues, regulatory requirements, technical constraints and stakeholder interests were systematically consolidated to establish a realistic and executable implementation approach.

– Assessed project risks, governance gaps and implementation challenges following project escalation

– Managed complex requirements across Data Protection, Works Council, HR, Legal and IT

– Coordinated negotiations and alignment with the Works Council and international stakeholders

– Facilitated decision-making processes across local and international stakeholder groups

– Aligned local regulatory requirements with international technical frameworks, processes and platform standards

– Translated local requirements into technical and operational implementation specifications

– Developed robust workstreams, timelines and rollout structures for the German market

– Managed external service providers and international platform partners

– Built trust, transparency and stakeholder alignment throughout the transformation programme
